Melvena Talley, BS, RDH
Melvena is a dedicated clinical dental hygienist currently practicing in Richmond, Virginia. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University (2013) and earned her Associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene from Northern Virginia Community College in 2019.
With a strong commitment to patient education and preventive care, Melvena provides comprehensive services including oral cancer screenings, periodontal assessments, and thorough yet gentle care. Her patients consistently commend her calming presence, soothing voice, meticulous attention to detail, and compassionate approach to care.
Melvena maintains her clinical excellence by regularly attending continuing education courses and working across various practices in the Greater Richmond area. She has also invested in her professional growth and leadership development through conferences such as Ignite and the VDHA Mentoring Program.
Her leadership within the Virginia Dental Hygienists’ Association (VDHA) includes serving as CE Co-Chair for one year and as the current CE Chair of the Greater Richmond Component for the past two years. From 2021 to 2023, she proudly represented her component as a Delegate. Most recently, she has taken on the role of ADHA Alternate Delegate, where she aims to contribute with the same dedication and impact she brings to her clinical practice and state association.
