Northern Virginia Dental Hygieniets' Component

Presents an In Person Presentation

Fueling the Dental Professional: How to Protect, Nourish, and Restore Your Body with Food as Medicine

   Our Speaker

Sally DiCesare, RDH, BSHE

After practicing dental hygiene for 6 years, I recognized what my pain was doing to my family and relationships. It was then I began my search for healing. I did it not only for myself but for my beautiful daughters.

It breaks my heart when I see women in pain lash out at those they love, ruining relationships and lives and carrying the guilt of not living up to what they want to be in this world.

With over 40 years in hygiene, I share what I have learned in the hope that it can protect others from looking back with guilt on what could have been. I condense it to a manageable time so you can see the changes and your improvement immediately.

Course Description:

Dental professionals face unique exposures and stresses every day: mercury, radiation, long clinical hours, and the physical toll of patient care. Over time, these challenges can deplete energy, increase oxidative stress, and create tension in both body and mind.

This 2 hour workshop introduces a simple yet powerful framework:  Protect. Nourish. Restore.

Participants will discover how to use nutrition to protect against toxins and cellular damage, nourish their energy and focus throughout demanding workdays, and restore balance in the nervous system and muscles for resilience and renewal.

Through practical strategies, food-based tools, and a sample 7-day plan, dental professionals will learn how to care for their own bodies as carefully as they care for their patients.

Learning Objectives:

  • List strategies to protect, restore and renew balance
  • List strategies to resore
  • Describe food-based tools for optimal balance
