Cathy is a graduate of the University of Michigan Dental Hygiene Program and has built her career in Virginia, where she currently practices part-time in both a multi-specialty group and a fee-for-service dental practice in Reston. A seasoned clinician and respected leader, Cathy served as President of the Virginia Dental Hygienists’ Association (VDHA) from 2004 to 2005 and continues to be an active mentor within the association.

Throughout her career, Cathy has prioritized mentorship, motivation, and professional development—both within the association and in her daily clinical work. She is known for fostering an environment of teamwork, creativity, collaboration, and inclusivity, especially among peers with diverse needs and professional goals. Her leadership style is rooted in honesty, transparency, and a commitment to forward-thinking, strategic action. Cathy remains a guiding presence in the VDHA community, championing the next generation of leaders in dental hygiene.
